We have invested in OCT Scanners in both our practices. This is a hospital standard Scanner which uses light to scan through the layers of the retina.

This allows us to investigate your eye health in great detail. Many serious eye conditions such as macular degeneration and Glaucoma start at a deeper level than we can see with traditional imaging.

The OCT takes thousands of images as the light passes through the retinal layers and builds a 3D image of the structures so effectively allowing us to see what lies beneath.

Having this information allows us to map and detect changes at each subsequent exam, changes we may not have previously detected at an early stage.
